Terms and Conditions

1.0 Courier Liability:
1.1 Courier Gold - Courier Members will take all reasonable care in handling the Clients Materials
1.2 Courier Gold – Couriers reserve the right to refuse incorrect or poorly packed goods
1.3 Courier Gold – Couriers reserve the right to charge senders for wasted time for collections and delivery release delays
1.4 Courier Gold – Courier Members are only accepted as a member when valid ‘Goods in Transit Documents’ have been supplied to our courier gold team plus they only remain a member if the documents remain up to date whilst within their agreed membership period, fresh documents can be sent to our courier gold team by post, email or fax – see section 16.0
1.5 Courier Gold - reserve the right to suspend private couriers for failing to supply up to date policies
1.6 Courier Gold - reserve the right to contact policy issuers to confirm validity of given policies
1.7 Courier Gold – Courier Members passing work onto fellow members (known as subbing) is acceptable however; the original courier is solely responsible to the given item(s) until final delivery, this includes coverage, damage etc

2.0 Customer Liability:
2.1 Courier Gold – Posting Customers are responsible to ensure given envelopes, parcels, pallets are presented with adequate packaging to protect the internal goods being sent
2.2 Courier Gold – Posting Customers are responsible for supplying full delivery and collection address details
2.3 Courier Gold – Posting Customers must ensure access to both addresses for the selected vehicle being used
2.4 Courier Gold – Posting Customers must have the goods ready for release at the agreed time
2.5 Courier Gold – Posting Customers must ensure the receiver is available to take delivery at the agreed time
2.6 Courier Gold – Posting Customers maybe liable for additional charges for wasted collection and delivery release times

3.0 Customer and Courier Liability:
3.1 Damage, loss and partial loss of goods etc, once detected the sender must make direct contact with the accepting courier and within 24hrs of delivery, senders must allow the accepting courier a further 24hrs to investigate and respond
3.2 Courier Gold Team - will only become involved if a failed understanding has been reached between both parties, always send a written statement detailing the fault and within 7 days of actual delivery of the goods, also allow Courier Gold Team a further 7 to 10 days to respond and this is from receipt to our offices
3.3 Except under special arrangements previously made in writing to an officer of the Courier Gold, Courier Gold the company accepts no responsibility with any agreement between sender and actual courier

4.0 Force Majeure:
4.1 Courier Gold and all its courier members cannot be held liable for failure to carry out any contract owing to an act of God, floods, severe weather conditions, war, strikes, lock-outs, closures, fire, storms, breakdown, traffic conditions, vehicle accidents or any other cause above and beyond their control
4.2 Courier Gold Couriers will always try to rectify any given situation where possible and keep the sender up to date by any communicational means as physically possible
4.3 Courier Gold Senders must be prepared to accept that the courier is trying to rectify the situation to their best of their abilities and any delays are not his or her fault if Force Majeure is a major uncontrollable concern

5.0 Privacy Policy:
5.1 Courier Gold utilises cookies to track all activity on their website, this allows courier gold full administrational rights and the power to delete dormant orders, out of date details and even negative comments / activities detected by members
5.2 Courier Gold will not disclose personal information on our members without seeking guidance from the member in question
5.3 Courier Gold will take action should they detect any negative action damaging Courier Gold’s reputation and please be warned our first action will be to suspension any detected member then, passing the details to our legal department

6.0 Payment:
6.1 Couriers and Clients are only members when payment has been received by Courier Gold
6.2  Renewal of membership will be automatic and taken every 12 months
6.3  Confirmation of renewal will always be sent by email and a notification email will be supplied 10 days prior to renewal date
6.4  Members have the right not to renew however; this must be done in writing 30 days before the actual due renewal date
6.5  If payment is taken before written communication is received, refund charges come into force – see 6.6
6.6  Payments taken and then, refunded will attract a 10% refund charge due to Banking / Administration charges etc
6.7  Courier Gold reserve the right not to make contact with the customer if payment has been refused
6.8  All prices revealed are based on Pound Sterling (UK Currency)
6.9 All prices revealed will also be charged at the current rate VAT

6.0 Cancelation of Payment – (Cooling off Period):
7.1 Couriers and Clients joining Courier Gold have a cancelation (cooling off period) when creating live payments
7.2 Cancelation period is 7 days form actual payment
7.3 Cancelation period of 7 days will attract a 5% refund charge IF cancelation is created WITHIN the same working day and before 16:00hrs, cancelation must be made in writing and emailed to Courier Gold before 16:00hrs – see 16.0
7.4 Cancelation period of 7 days will attract a 10% refund charge IF cancelation is created AFTER the same working day of payment, cancelation must be made in writing and emailed to Courier Gold before 16:00hrs – see 16.0
7.5 We would advice all clients to create a read receipt when sending emails
7.6 Receipt of email is only when Courier Gold’s Team have actually received the actual email and not before
7.7 Courier Gold will send an automatic refund to the actual original email payment contact and this will come form our encrypted payment gateway provider however; where possible we will also send a direct email confirmation

8.0 Deliveries and Un-deliverable items:
8.1 Senders are responsible to ensure that the receiver is available at the agreed time of delivery
8.2 Should the agreed time be honoured and the receivers premises is closed then, the sender is liable for additional charges imposed by the accepting courier
8.3 Should the accepting courier arrive after the agreed time and without prior contact with either the sender or the receiver then, the accepting courier is liable for additional charges imposed by the sender

9.0 PO Box Numbers
9.1   Sorry but collections and deliveries cannot be accepted to and from PO Box Numbers

10.0 Inspection:  
10.1 All couriers reserve the right to fully inspect and open the given goods before accepting the goods
10.2 All Senders must ensure that all given goods meet health and safety standards
10.3 All Senders please be warned couriers do not accept live animals etc

11.0 Consignment Insurance:
11.1 All Courier Gold Private Couriers are only accepted to our system after confirming they have the minimum polices:
11.2 Goods in Transit coverage to the minimum value of £10,000
11.3 Public Liability coverage to the minimum value of £20,000

12.0 Using the Website:
12.1  Front section of the website is viewable to all visitors
12.2  Internal sections of the website are only possible on payment receipt and Courier Gold issuing a user password
12.3  Internal login will require a password and a user name
12.4  User name will be supplied by us, but user can amend as necessary
12.5  Accessing the website is temporary as we reserve the right to withdraw or alter without notices
12.6  Courier Gold reserve the right to restrict access to all users for site maintenance
12.7  Site maintenance where possible will be performed only on Saturday and Sundays
12.8  Site maintenance may also be performed between 8pm and 8am weekdays
12.9  Where possible a warning message will be displayed on our Home Page

13.0 Uploaded Details:
13.1  Any uploaded details by any of our members will be considered non-confidential and belong to Courier Gold
13.2  Any uploaded details can and will be deleted if, in our opinion it proves negative and damaging to any party
13.3  Any uploaded details cannot be tagged to Courier Gold, the inputted carries full responsibility and responsible to all liabilities of any actions proven against them including our own legal costs

14.0 Shared Details:
14.1  Any uploaded details that contain a website virus or inflict harm to our website will be researched and the personal user details will be handed to our legal team to seek compensation to replace the damage in full plus any consequential business lost costs including all members within the system
14.2  Courier Gold will not be held responsible for any lost business due to website virus attacks
14.3  Courier Gold will however share any compensation received above the website repair costs to any written member notification, this must be received within 7 days of such an attack and not after to qualify
14.4  Computer misuse Act 1990 is a criminal offence and detected member(s) will be reported to the relevant law authorities and personal details will be supplied to them
14.5  Compensation will also be requested as stated in point 13.1 and 13.2 and 13.3

15.0 Linking our Website to your Website:
15.1  We encourage our members to link our website homepage to their own website
15.2  Linking must be only allowed where your website does not prove damaging our Courier Gold reputation
15.3  Courier Gold’s images cannot be used unless permission is granted by Courier Gold Management – see 14.4
15.4  Courier Gold images – please open ‘contact us page’ to gain direct access for asking for permission
15.5  Courier Gold reserve the right to request any unwanted links be removed if we view them as damaging to our business
15.6  Removal of unwanted links will be removed within 48hrs after such time legal action will be taken
15.7  Legal action, offending website owners will be answerable to even our own legal costs

16.0 Reading our Terms and Conditions:
16.1  Courier Gold cannot be held responsible for any member or potential member not reading our terms and conditions
16.2  Courier Gold assumes any member joining our website has read and fully agreed to our terms and conditions
16.3  Payment by any member to join our website membership community have agreed to our terms and conditions
